Lol, I won't say fake news, but that line where the guy said drivers can command that much in a week, maybe he was excited.

 

Yeah, those numbers do seem a bit high.

 

This is true for many specialized haulers right now. Let's take fuel for example, here in California wages have be stagnant for years as far as per hour rates. Although with overtime available most were into six figures. Within this year most have gotten
$5 per hour raises. I run for a private fleet hauling cryogenics the theme even before covid was how hard it is to find quality drivers.

 

They don’t try to make the driver or trucking company pay for that loss of the truck breaks down or the weather prevents the timely delivery ?

 

No but they sure will cry about it .
