yes please, we have people who are posting without actually being there - stuff that really happens is important bcs we have "grown people" who are actually looking for work ~ getting stuck waiting on "test results" or not finding decent work due to taking a job based on interview or newspaper classified only can result in people being stranded due to exorbitant campground / motel fees causing search funds to evaporate B-4 decent job found,....there are no shortage of those but we need to avoid them

I've refueled their crane and logger a couple times and talked with some of the guys. All I can say is no one had anything bad to say about the company. Their trucks all seem to be nice late models as well.

As for equipment operators, this means driving the crane, logger, or 3/4-1t truck. Wireline crews are small. You're going to either be operating the crane or disassembling/assembling the gun. There is generally two people working loading/unloading the gun. Once the gun is loaded and connected to the well head, the engineer in the logger takes over and lowers it to the desired dept. It takes about 30-90 minutes for them to lower said device, explode it ( they use primer cord to explode holes in the casing), and raise it again. While this is going on, the guys are preparing for the next stage by assembling what they can. A single stage can take 1-3 hrs (divided between Frac & Wireline) and they will do 1-7 stages a day. If crap breaks, which it always does, you could end up working through the night. This depends on the "Company Man" who is in charge of the site ( he hires the Wireline and Frac crew),...to a lessor point, it depends on how many rounds the Wirelines brings to the site. If you only bring enough for 5 stages, that's all you can do.

One word of noting, when they say bring food, bring breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. A portable DVD player, movies, pillows, window shades, sun Screan, flashlight, TP want hurt either!

Schlumberger has their own wireline crew but will hire other wireline companies. Interesting thing about Schlumberger's wireline is that they use Radiation on logging wells. I'm not a fan of this process...give my conventional explosives any day lol

Been pretty busy the last few weeks. Worked 89 hours last week and should have a good week again this week. The last few days have been doing a lot of sitting and waiting on site. It drives me nuts, but I get paid by the hour so I just deal with it. We had a pretty scary incident last week during a rig move, one of our cranes collapse. Luckily no one was hurt or killed. But needless to say it did millions in damages to the rig and the crane. The job was shut down for several days while they did an investigation. I originally planned on only being out here a year , but my circumstances have changed so I will probably be out here a few more years. More and more rig moving companies are moving into the area. Just in the last month three big high dollar companies have come in from South Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. There are tons of rigs to be moved and everyone is trying to get in on the action.

Call me lucky charm's but I always get a strange feeling or shall I say Vibe when something is about too happen. It's almost like a six sense already developed. Saved me many of times in my own life. About a month ago; we were doing a cement job for a rig and they were rigging down the casing equipment and stuff. I don't know what they call that weight; they send up there that looks like a Battle Ax for the Giant from hell; but I started getting that feeling. I told everyone of our crew to stand back I got a bad feeling about this. Sure enough That #### line snapped and before I looked after hearing the snap it had already moved 1/4 of the way too the ground. Luckily nobody got killed but the casing crew guy was close enough for the force to send him to the ground.

I went to have a smoke by the designated area and figured it would be a minute now; the company man comes out the shack and looks at me and says; there ####### up #### aint they? I said yes sir! He went flying out to the rig cursing the whole way lmao...
