Straight truck construction type jobs may be better for you as well.
The pay is hourly. You are home every day. And I have never seen one look at DAC.
Many will hire out of Temp agency's.
Just remember. Much of this work is ALLOT of work. You will probably not start at a very high hourly rate, depending on the cost of living in your area of the state. And it is long hours.
Another negative is that many lay off drivers in winter in NY. But it is work, and can move over to plowing in winter.
