In all honesty, I want this route becuase I have my own home business with my wife breeding exotic mastiffs. So while I'm out working as a Lease owner operator she will be tending the flock. When it's time to breed I can take time off to help. If I go get experience in a mega I can't do that as home time is a rarity with them. Also my parents would lease Me with 0 experience granted I atleast get training eith a trainer for a while. I just don't wanna start off making crumbs and healing ### for 700$ a week at western express, no disrespect to any drivers working there. But if it came to that I'm fine just breeding dogs. Also this helps becuase i can book loads going towards a client who purchased a puppy as most of my clients are out of state. Offer cheap transport since I'm double dipping.

So the truck is a hobby then? You don't offer cheap transportation just because. That's a quick way to bankruptcy.

Stick with the dogs, you will not survive very long hauling spot market freight and offering g cheap transportation because you are taking g a dog this way or that way.

You don't need a tractor-trailer to deliver puppies.
Get your Class-A cdl through a private cdl school, then buy a nice cargo van to deliver puppies.
If, for some reason, your business goes South, you'll have a CDL-A as a backup plan.

No we plan to transition to trucking as we retire our dogs in a few years. The cheap is only when we have litters and only with our pet deliveries. I'll be full time trucking while the wife runs the kennel. We just can't quit breeding and dive into trucking right away. Once the market improves which will hopefully be in a few years then we will commit to only trucking.

The dogs sells papered at 3500 I don't think we'll be bankruptcy anytime soon. We been in the business for a long time. And when I say cheap. The transporter charge 1.50 cents a mile per Crate. I'll offer flat rate 500$ per puppy with 3500$ each puppy.

If you and the wife both drive cargo van, can make a decent living after the dogs.
They get much better fuel milage and cheaper to own than box trucks.

I like your idea but it's not efficient as I paid 6500 to get my cdl the rate for sprinters are terrible. Plus I like having a large cabin as my living space in doing OTR.

I doubt they would lease me with 0 experience. I gotta roll with my connections and network.

You are starting to sound like a puppy mill. Not good. Not good at all.
