I don't need to prove anything to you. My dogs are health tested. Appraised, I have partnerships with the biggest registry out there. Blood line full of grand champions. You are probably one of thoes truckers who failed and just looking for an excuse. Fiy ain't no puppy mill getting the prices I get and actually sold for. I'm not here to market my puppy I am just here to ask a genuine question.

    Why not hot shot?

You could probably Uber and take days off to deliver puppies. If your in a decent metro.

Buying your own truck after a month. I don't think anyone will allow you to lease to them. If you got your own numbers, the insurance would be insane. I would suggest work for 6 months and then go get a job thats local.

So your revenue will be 90% of load board revenue in the lowest freight rate period in a long time? It's like going swimming with a cinder block chained to your leg.

Load board or spot rates are the lowest revenue possible. I would suggest you find direct customers & leave load boards for the desperate.

Why not be a company driver at a Mega or better a better company fir a year or two to learn the job before deciding to bet your money on red at the roulette table? You will not be ready to do everything as soon as you go solo. Having the infrastructure of a company while you learn the job is a big deal. A one man band will pay more for everything, be slower making decisions, and 30k is what you should have in reserve after you have a truck, not to get a truck & operate.

You are trying to jump right into a high dollar poker game & you haven't even played against live players. Why not drive as a company driver for a year or two? 80-90% of newbies quit long before they have 12 months experience. You might be one that doesn't stay. There is no driver shortage. The industry is slow & the slow season is about to start.

Well just don't run your puppy mill in out of big trucks. Trucks run freight, animals delivered for slaughter if you run reefer. Animals are money. Don't get self righteous.

The pay sucks for new drivers. I could afford to take the risk. this is a lomg term endeavor. As I retire my females in 2 years into good homes will I transition to only trucking.

You sound like a company driver. I've been my own boss for 25 years. I intend to stay that way even with trucking.

What would you tell someone that read you are getting 3500 per puppy & asks us about picking up 2 stray dogs and operating a puppy mill and selling puppies near the town's Walmart for $800 each. If they don't know the operating costs & expenses & they make very optimistic assumptions then every plan seems guaranteed to work.

Look at the real operating costs, especially insurance for a new Motor Carrier & the freight rates on the load boards. Plus the maintenance & down time during maintenance on an affordable truck & trailer are not favorable.
