Well I thought he said 5pm when he meant AM. Got my songs downloaded from limewire and am hitting the sack. I'll update in a couple of days.

Well I got little sleep but was ready. Got picked up at 6AM and he gave me my dream: Letting me drive out of Walmart before the remodel. I almost cried as I have always wanted to do that and drove to Jupiter to deliver at Walgreens DC. I got in the first time but needed adjustment and my boss did it as we were in a hurry. Took fours to unload and grabbed lunch at Subway. Being that we were low on fuel we headed up to flying j in Fort Pierce to fuel up an additional 100 gallons and headed to rest at the pilot where we are now. If nothing comes up we will bobtail back to my house and grab dinner with my family.

The evening started off differently. My boss asked if I was game for a team load and I said yes. We got dispatched with a load of flowers to LA (25K in the box). I took it to Tallahassee FL. After fueling in AL I started to care about mpg as he had gone out of his way and I wanted to be a better employee. Well upon arriving in the middle of Texas we found out we could get better price if we went down the road. So wasting no time I put her in "D" did that. I backed off from my usual 65 to 59 and shut everything electrical off as we were running on a 1/4. Upon arriving I found we got 6.67mpg. After a quick shower and lunch we departed and headed for CA. Before going going into CA we got fuel and found out we were averaging 6.87mpg. I'll update this thread by Friday.

My tips for getting better mpg with an auto:

    Accelerate gently
Turn off everything electrical that is unnecessary
    Keep idling to a min.
Turn off a/c as the wind is cool at 59-65
Go 58-61mph if you can afford too

Take care and if you see me driving, give me a hollar.
