So I see many truckers who live in one state and work in another. How does this work. I live in Washington state but want to work for USA Truck and they are on the East Coast. So is there any way I could stay in Washington and work for USA Truck.

In some cases the larger carriers might have a terminal or yard cclose to where you live anyways.
It doesn't really matter where they are from as long as they can get you home. Most Co's let you take the truck home. -
Trucking company websites have these cool things called hiring maps. A qucik glance will tell you whether or not they will hire from your area. I guess you could move to get in there hiring area if you're not in it, but why would anyone do that for a lousy company like USA?

Yea. Stay away from USA. You would never get home where you live. They had a hard time letting me go home in Texas.

Washington is not in USA's hiring area.
