workmans comp help please.

    get a good agent who will shop around for you. some companies offer a discount if you hook them into your payroll company so they know you're not cheating. Also once you're in business for a while without claims the price can go down as much as 20%. It also depends based on what state you're in. See if there are other job classifications that are more specific to your particular variety of trucking that might be cheaper. A good agent can help you figure out ways to get a better classification or adjust the little details. Make sure your HR stuff is set up (employee manual, safety training, etc) and that might factor in as well.

    I called OOIDA and they do not offer workers comp. They offer Occupational Accident coverage but i heard thats not enough. You need workers comp.
