WiseOne's Comments, well I don't think it helps that the US is using corn for fuel and all those stocks are being removed so Americans can hammer down in their SUVs. Not saying it is our job to feed the world, but I don't agree with food being used to produce gas which is a VERY inefficient method to be sure.

Lately, there has been alot of talk about our food supply and it's not good.

By the way, what happened to all our farmers?:biggrin_2552:

Is this the segment where the talk of taking a PILL comes in now to fill us up?:biggrin_25512:

    Remember the book solient green?
Where they fed the over populated world by making the dead into protein powder.
Some claim that book was a prediction of the future?

The dwindling grain and corresponding increase in price for grain can be directly traced to the use of grain for bio-fuels. There is plenty grain grown world-wide, particularly in the North American continent to feed the world, if it weren't for %40 being diverted for gas-assohol or Wiesel (Willie Diesel)

The majority of the corn grown in the U.S. used to be grown as feed for livestock. The demand for meat is at historic highs in China and India. That trend is not changing anytime soon. The more meat needed, the more corn needed.

The sooner folks get over ethanol, the sooner a steak dinner won't cost an arm and a leg.

Why does anyone see this as our problem? Let the rest of the world fend for itself. I am tired of being called the 'great satan' but man, when they need something from us they sure know how to put their collective hands out.
