Don't play WOW. I do play first person shooters, like Team Fortress 2, another one I like to waste time with is one called Urban Terror, (google it, it's a lot of fun and it's free.) With my Sprint EVDO card I get around 130-200 pings in ideal situations. Anything over 200, I find something else to do. Like another person said, it varies from place to place, some towers are slower than others. I usually have better luck outside of town, rather than in town. It could be because I might be sharing bandwidth with other users, I don't know.

LOL had a group that the tank was trying to take out Ignis. The tank kept failing because he would pull Ignis to the water and his fps would go to 5 fps. His video card was having kittens with the waterfall. Ugh.Then Ignis would LOS the healer and then the party.

I use virgin mobile mifi. It is the only broadband I know of that has unlimited for a flat fee. I play on Shu'halo with a mage, Talthoss a druid, Treebaerd and many other alts. My connection speed varies greatly. My best connections are around 90 home 110 world. I have played with latency in the thousands (not recommended unless you like the grave yard). It just depends on where I am as to what kind of connection I get. I haven't found any areas i couldn't get a connection at all, but I stay mostly east coast.

Now I never got into WOW. but I am an old Everquest Player, and Vanguard Player. Currently playing allot of EVE for my MMO exsperience. The nice thing about these styles of games is they dont require a good connection. Sure it helps a little. But even with a 300ms ping your going to be playing just fine. You would never try that with a FPS tittle. And the network has gotten so much better over the years. I remember 7-8 years ago I would try and time my driving so I would be in a major city during raid nights. Now days I can practicaly pull off anywhere and get a good enough connection to play. Sure there are still allot of places where it gets on line of playable or not. but for the most part its game on.
