    Well I'm worried.

I've been driving otr since september 10 , started with covenant back in Feburary and since then I've had...

Trailer lights out, blown fuse. MI

DOT officer pulled me over in WA,for driving in far left lane, he had a state cop give me a ticket for it.

Last night I made a turn around a semi parked at a TA and took his fish eye mirror off....

So now I have an accident on my record and a ticket.

Not sure what its going to do with my CSA score but right now its at 22!!

I really am pissed at my self, I know I need to work on not being in such a hurry that I don't do stupid stuff . My hope though is to get a solo trucking job, I HATE teams and TEAMS is NOT why I got into trucking...

Im worried though that with my record no decent trucking company will hire me.

Both were avoidable, which I'm sure you realize...Can you go solo where you are?...If so, I'd stay there until you 'slow down' and some points drop off...Just a thought...

Sounds like part of your problem is that you are over stressed! Slow down, pay attention. (that's what I used to tell my wife all the time when we were teaming) Personally I like team driving better but to each is to own. Why don't you give your co-driver a week vacation and see how you like driving by yourself. I think you will find teams get treated a lot better than solo drivers. Your pay will probably significantly decrease too. Like I said before, I think right now you are just worn a little thin from being on the road, your accident etc... Try getting a little more exercise and focus on relaxing and not being in a hurry.

Also, we refer to them as "Trucks", not "Semi's".......

Well Im at our main terminal. Problem is my old co driver who is comming back left and was replaced by a guy who causes constant tention and stress in the cab. I had the last straw today and will be leaving that truck.

thanks for the advice, I plan to stay with this company for a year total and look towards solo companies. Worst case senario I go drive for schneider or jb hunt and slow traffic in the slow lane....

I did not get into trucking JUST for the money, sure 99% of it is earning money and earning a living but but a good part of it is being out on the road by my self.

I don't need to be tripping over pee bottles strewn about the truck of smelling hot air from another mans butt.

    I HATE teaming.

Those points will decrease as they get older. So I would say just chill out for a while til and a year or 2, you can have something to offer to a company.

This may help: often drivers will drive against the govenor. Don't. It tends to make you drive more aggressive. Back out of it....you will find it will calm you down.

    Dave_AL Thanks this.
