I’d love to see one of these drones try my job.

That’s entirely too much like work for some alleged “drivers”.

    stwik and Dennixx Thank this.

No clue, I don't drive a truck. Where I work a reliable crane operator is in demand.

I don't know what O/O money means to you, but if drivers were getting rich left and right in the oil field wouldn't everyone be doing it. This is going to make me sound like a dick, but you're here telling us what you don't want to do, you need to get over that and start thinking about what you need to do. Turnover is super high in the oil field, doesn't matter if it's service company work or driving, most people don't make it. Everyone out there can tell you what they want when it comes to getting paid. Those same people hear they're going to get paid for 154 hours a week, you can see the dollar signs flash in their eyes. A month in, if they make it that long, they get tired of sleeping 3-4 hours a night, and they start talking about what they want, and not what they're willing to do to get what they want. I suspect the same is true in oil field trucking.

Well, I didn't have high hopes for a guy who calls himself "Dick Danger". What'd ya know, guy named Dick Danger's a dick! Hahaha, nah you're good. Take it as a sign that I want to do whatever makes the most money my 2nd year in the trucking industry under a company. If it's not oil, hell, I'll haul cars or just stick to flatbed. I'll keep looking though :Automobile loan:

Starsky Robotics has an OTR job on Drivers Pulse and it says they are developing technology to drive the truck remotely, work 8 hours, and go home every day.

Say WHAT? The job market hasn't been this good in over 50 years. Unemployment is down to 3.5%, and there are far more job openings than job seekers.

If you call this bad, I'd hate to hear from you when the unemployment rate is 12% and rising with barely any openings.....

If you can't find work today, your skills / education / expectations are outdated....
