The bridge across the Columbia River at Hood River. Narrow lanes, expanded metal decking that's slick when it's wet, and always a strong direct crosswind.

The old metal span was slick & scary from what I remember. (Just a lil tike in the backseat of ma & pa's grand marquis) After the freighter knocked down the southbound side in 1980 & it became a 2 lane head to head. That looked like a nightmare for trucks..x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -

The Doubles. I was afraid for him but I saw that he had been in ice possibly long before that river valley on the high sides of his trailers so he did it right even if the second wagon got a little loose on him.
