Heres a thought. Trucking is not a perfect job. Load my wagon for decent money, I will get your freight there. If we can't agree we part as knowing each other. Running empty is a way of the biz. Don't like it, but it happens.

here is the best part, load is all done and you want to get paid on it, so you call the dispatch to let them know
they say thanks and supposedly closed you out on that load
2 days later it is still open and you cannot even get your quick pay
call him back and still "oh sure i WILL close it out"

Exactly! I haul a dryvan and average $2 a mile.
Hell, I'm breaking even at $1.5
To make .40cpm I have to tack on 10% because my company I'm leased to take 10%

I run empty all the time. I will DH 250 miles to get in a good area to avoid $1.20 mile freight

I be #### if anyone is going to make money off my equipment and sweat and I haul for free or break even. The bank can have my truck before that happens

I found this post in "Good & Bad Brokers" on this page. Thought I would pass it along for fun.

    hey guys,

My name is Isaac and I recently have been giving the opportunity to work as a broker from TQL. To be honest before i decided to take the job, I wanted to to look for more info on the company and what does the job require. Im getting a little insight on what to look for in this forum, so i though i would get you guys perspective when it comes to dealing with brokers. Of Course Everyone is in the business to profit, but i dont want to come into the company blindly and see it only from the companies point of view. I wanted to understand from the Truckers as well.
So please info advice or info would be really appreciated.

TQL is definitely one of the worst broker company that exist, their brokers will LIE just about anything, they will say and promise that they will trake care of detention times but they never will unless you get confirmation before you get empty. I try not to do any business with them, there is quite few brokers out there with a bad reputation but TQL is worst of the worst.
