Me and my wife are currently working for werner team all 48. We are doing alright, average about 5k miles a week, sometimes get 5500 miles at .38 cents a mile. We get a lot of terrible loads that are 100 or 200 miles, and maybe once a week we get a load over 1k miles. I would like a company ideally that does coast to coast loads and i heard produce will allow that.
My biggest concern is having to pay for my own truck, ive been trucking locally for 6 yrs but only done over the road for a few months. I dont know much about owning your own truck, which is kind of a draw-back for me. I know the truck payment is going to hurt, but if me and my wife are team, we should have the same truck payment and (hopefully) go nearly double the miles, so it will be more affordable.
Do they treat the husband/wife teams good at this company? What happens if i lease on and the trucks engine/tranny immediately blows up? Thats a big concern of mine, thanks!
would a team do well at this company?

We want to run, our current company gives us an average of 5.5k a week and its not enough for us. We only stop four times within a day for fuel and bathroom stops and we usually stay out eight weeks at a time. Just seems like a big risk having ur own truck so I'm kinda afraid to make the move.
