You do know im making an sattire example right? I used what i was issued. Which was an m16.
The whole industry is torn and its only been a part of regulations since 1.5 weeks ago. It seems that after 11 days, everybody already knows everything there is too know about elogs and how they are the most destructive thing to ever hit the transportation industry. Without giving them a shot.
While I dont agree with them to begin with, I am still open minded about the whole situation and will wait to see where it goes before i make judgements that they are good or bad. You may have already read on here me making sarcastic posts towards elds.
Yes there are some very big negatives right out of the gate, i can understand the fustrations to a point of being forced to buy something that is not needed in my eyes. Aside from trucking, there are buckets full of garbage i dont want to buy but am forced too if i want to live in this country and travel these roads. If it was really that bad for me, i could always go live elsewhere right? Im content here though.
Sheep or not? I dont know, but if you howl like a woof, but walk like a sheep, then what are you?
@Pedigreed Bulldog for example is keeping his dog leashed on the porch till he finds something.
In my opinion, if your complying, but #####ing about it... I dont know that you even know what your doing.
Would any of you use an ELD without being forced to?

My whole problem with government is once you give an inch they always take a mile. I will bet anybody here $100 the HOS will never be bumped up. Same way with taxes. Once a tax is in place you'll play the devil getting rid of itBlackshack46 Thanks this. -
To the old timers and old ways of working for free.
Truth is only thing paper logs allow you to do is
Eat up dead time that you where actually driving or
On duty, and turn your 12 hour day into a 16 hour
day and everyone on here knows it.
Except you only got paid for the 12 hours.
Good riddance dinosaurs.DoubleO7 Thanks this. -
Sorry about you getting ripped off. I got paid for every hour.jamespmack and Pedigreed Bulldog Thank this. -

Take all the time you need -
As to the original question, sure... I’d use it as a wheel chock.
W9onTime, jamespmack and Timin770 Thank this. -
Do you tell your elog you're "off duty" while fueling, inside getting a receipt, while the truck is in the shop, or while waiting to load or unload? Why do you do that?
Do you perform your pretrip while "off duty" and then creep to the truck stop's exit to delay the start of your 14 hour clock until you actually hit the road? Why do you do that?
Do you park the truck and go "off duty" to post trip the truck, polish the wheels, change a burned out light bulb, etc.? Why do you do that?
Do you put your elog to line 4 while sitting at a red light, waiting for a train to go by, or while stuck in traffic? Why do you do that?
You hypocrites on your elogs are JUST AS BAD (or worse) about falsifying your logs, working longer days, and spending more time behind the wheel as paper loggers are. The only difference is that because the box allows it, you think it is legal. Problem is, your wrong. Look up the definitions and read the guidance in the regs...they are quite clear. When you start logging it as you do it BY THE BOOK, you might have a little credibility. I'd bet 99% of the time, though, my paper logs are kept closer "by the book" than your elogs. -
