Neither am I when I can help it...but when I am required to keep one, it accurately reflects how I spent my working time. Always amuses me the people complaining the loudest about working for free, working stupid long hours, or not getting paid for everything they do are usually the worst about NOT logging their line 4 time appropriately. "Saving hours" here and there means you're actively TRYING to work past the 70th hour or drive past the 11th, or to delay the start of your clock to work past the 14th hour, or trying to squeeze work in when you're supposed to be taking your break...no other reasons exist.

Let it go bud, everyone underlogs their on duty time.
    We all know that.

    We all agree.

Speak for yourself. Ever since the 34 hour restart came into play, I haven't seen a reason to short my logged hours. Hell, if anything I'd log MORE on-duty time...as in my local log shows line 4 all day, even if I stopped for an hour to feed the horses and another hour and a half having dinner with the wife before heading home. Burn it up M-F and there's no arguing about whether or not I can work on Saturday (which I just don't do).

Ok, so you don’t get near 70 hours a week.
As long as you get your driving done in a 14 hour window elogs won’t hurt you.

    Bottom line.
I don't want the added expense.
I try to cut costs when I can.

I've been using time card for over a year. single sheet of paper that I can put a full month on. Now I am still fighting this because it can effect me if I need to change my operation up. Plus its the right thing to do for my brother and sister truckers. Gov is over reaching. I know what my father thought of it. But his father and my great grand father would kick my butt if I layed around and watched this. Some will never learn, the guy that has to have 3k miles for the week. Good luck, you are the same people that put Trump in office or voted for Hilary Clinton. None of them are good or have interest in you or me. Your gonna stand back, believe the gov and eat your crap sandwich smiling. Well I for one would rather fight and lose vs. not have fought and complain the rest of my life. The low, and middle class is about to get ####ed like we have never seen. We will have more than you think in common with the American Indians. Small resort for Indians and Truckers. Good day.

Sure they will. Paper is 100% reliable. They won't "crash". Data will not be inexplicably " lost". It isn't subject to random "glitches". There are no "compatibility issues" in transferring the data so that an officer can read it. There are no security concerns, either. It won't open any back doors into my ECM, and my data won't be in the cloud and beyond my immediate control. Not to mention, paper logs are cheap by comparison.
