round trip is 2779.1 miles divide that buy 5 =555.82 gallons of fuel I would use on this trip
-
now if I did it right there is about 42 hours of drive time here dived that by the miles of trip would equal my speed so 2779/42 = 66 so I would be driving 66 mph
-
Lol good luck getting that truck. I want one.
The real world average is more like 50-56
my 34 month moving average is 56 and I run hard and keep the door shut. I plan based on 50. During training company has us teach students to plan based on 45.
sorry I couldn't help that one. It's been awhile since I was in school now. Things work SO much differently in the real world on the real roads lol -
you lost me I will copy the paper my instructor gave me to go on and post it hold on

Didn't mean to go over you head with the real world humor lol
You won't be driving 66. Unless you just get #### lucky. If the have you planning based on that it's unrealistic and casts doubt on the quality of the training overall
you'll most likely be stuck in a truck that will only do 62-63 on a good day with a light load on level ground. Planning is based on a considerably slower speed than 66. If you could plan at 66 your actual road speed would be 70-75 sustained lol not gonna happenArkansas Frost Thanks this. -
How did you arrive at the 42hrs drive time figure without being given an average speed to plan with?
nowhere in the assignment did I see a planning speed average. I realize you had to figure milage based on your atlas but where did the 42hr number come from. You have to figure speed/distance to get total drive time. -
you didn't bother me I'm here trying to learn the 66 was supposed to be how fast I was going not actual miles I did the trip plan based on 50 miles per hour maybe I really messed up somewhere
-
it does ask what is your average speed the 42 hours is total amount of time I would be driving it would take lik 21 hours of drive time to get there and about 21 hours of drive back that doesn't include breaks or anything just drive time
