Would it be possible to tow a tractor in neutral?

    I don't understand these people who spend $250,000 on the top-of-the-line motor coach....$60,000 on the SUV (I've seen H2 & H3 hummers behind 'em)....but won't spend the $2500 for a simple open trailer to get that towed vehicle up off the ground.:biggrin_25513:

    Some vehicles CAN be towed, with no harm done.

    There are also disconnect couplings available for the drive shaft....

    Not always.

    My dually tranny went out and left me on the side of the road. In the drivers book were instructions on how to tow it. All electronic, and it disabled everything under it.

    No need to remove any drive shaft.

    When I got to the repair shop, just reversed the steps and the tranny was engaged.
