Would it be worth it? Would anybody be interested in someone like me?

The teachers I know have much better summer jobs. Go teach tennis lessons or work at the gym ;)

I enjoy driving, otherwise I would not have done Dr Ed for so long, just tired of not being the one behind the wheel. Also I will pass on $10 an hour jobs thanks.

Thanks, should have figured that out. Yea that would not be ideal, and I am sure it is aptly named.

I was asked last year if I could take over for a driver who owned a little van and did medical transportation for elderly. I could not do it because of my obligations with the customers I had but the guy who did take the job over made some pretty good money and it was all rural and semi-rural driving.

So maybe this is another form of driving you may enjoy a bit better.

My first foray in trucking was as a bedbugger as a summer job while I was in college, teaming with my brother. Summer is the moving season, so having summers available would be ideal. Other summer season work might be available in construction or agriculture.

Then again you might like truck driving enough you may consider doing it full time.

I would say yes, my buddy just signed up with a temp agency as he is semi retired... He calls in, they find him an outfit to work for for the day or longer.
