There's a lot of different kinds of truck driving. It may be hard to figure out your niche during summer months but don't let that stop you.
Toomanybikes is right about temp companies. They are looking for temp to permanent drivers. You sign on with a temp company and they'll try to wrangle you in to a full time job; at least that's how it works here.
If you are feeling restless in your current job, why not take s sabbatical for 12-24 months and go drive the country? You can always fall back into teaching.
Would it be worth it? Would anybody be interested in someone like me?
