Would like some info please.

Hi there to all truckers. I'm getting ready to start off on my own and would like to hear from the owners of what is the best way to start getting my loads. A very good old friend of my has past away drove trucks for 40+ years told me when I start on my own to be careful of some the brokers out there and that other truckers will tell people what brokers are good to go through and who to stay away from. I also have been looking into online sites that list loads for hauling.
So I'm hoping for some help and insight on finding good brokers and if going online is a good way to get loads. I Thank all who will help me on this for this is just not for me but for my family also. I will be driving and my wife will be the one getting loads for me, we are starting a new chapter in our life and working our way out of a couple long bad hard couple of years. We all hope the best for every trucker out there on the road and for your family's.

Largecar359 Good morning and Thank You for writing your advice I forgot all about the Direct shippers and I do like the small brokers. My plan is to just drive my truck for the first year and then in my second year I will look at maybe getting another truck and build so and take my time. I'm trying to build a small trucking company for my son to take over one day. God bless all the truckers on the road!

 

I love driving truck and my son is what is always on my thoughts. I have lived a hard life, rode with a biker club so I have done time in prison. I'm not the kind of person to back down and with so many truck business trying to look so good and not wanting to hire people that have done time I feel this is wrong and is making it hard on us. I'm working on starting my own trucking business up so ( I can hire all people ) and those out of prison so they have a chance to make a good start at a new life for there lives and there family's lives. I will make it and this is the path God has plan for me and my life. I know some people don't believe in god and that is ok with me I judge no one but I need to do this. I thank you for writing me and hope all the best for you.

 

This is for all those that have done time, so if you know any one that have done time or is doing time at this time Please let them know about this or write me! I'm working at this time to start my own trucking business and I will hire men and women that have done time in prison. I believe that all people should have a chance in life and so many people don't get that chance because our government don't think that people that have done time in prison should have a chance! I do and always will!! I will hire all people with a clean past and not a clean past. I don't judge others and hope not to be judged because I will hire people from prison. Thank You.
