    From what you've listed for equipment you would probably do decent running some of their DOD stuff. Loading at military bases can be a bit aggravating but the rates are usually very good.

    New authority and the 3 mil GL and half a mil cargo. I’ve had my authority for 15 years and I’m still paying around 24k a year for like coverage with new equipment. If you wanna haul big loads it gets expensive.

    Good advice so far guys thanks!
    And my insurance is so high because im based out of Louisiana (our insurance is a joke here, too many billboard attorneys) and I have to have a lot of coverage for my customers.
    I don't mind giving up a percent if it offsets the cost of my insurance AND that company will help me grow! I'm sure I could find a lot of mom and pop shops that will lease on, but i'm really looking to grow and learn other aspects of the transportation industry from some of the big dogs.
