Why are you making life decisions with someone who you have not made a life long commitment to

You were man enough to make a couple of kids with this woman. You should be man enough to go out there and bring back a wad of cash to feed those kids. You think they'd want to hear their daddy put off getting to work because he needed someone to sit beside him when the white stuff starts to fly? Come on man.

Well we do have been together for 5 years and have 2 children together, trust me we're committed. As for marriage I think that's an old-fashioned way of doing things, we're in a different time and alot of men like myself see that their is literally no benefit from the men's pov when a woman can literally take everything you've worked for if she simply wakes up and doesnt wanna be with you anymore and no disrespect to the happily married couples on here.

but by not being married, you're getting the free milk. and you can up and leave at any time. if married, she can sue your arse for support.

you jus cannot commit to marriage. and then you wonder why we question you regarding a few snow flakes. you ain't got it in you.

I had the same fear... I went solo in Sept. It would have been nice to have a trainer there for the first snow. But he wasn't... So I just drove till I didn't think it was safe. Then I parked. I went slow, thought out all my moves as I went. Went slow. Drove the truck and manned up... You will be fine.
My first snow was in Colorado on I70... I parked when it really started coming down. I couldn't make Denver anyways with the hrs I had left. So I parked. I was the ONLY truck in this little fuel stop.... For about 45 minutes... Then they started piling on. I left in the morning... Crawled along at 25 mph... 7 trucks were in the ditch between where I stopped and where I delivered.
So , that being said, go get your CDL and let the cards fall where they may. You will learn, don't be scared. your trainer will help you build confidence but he won't be driving the truck for you. Time behind the wheel is what develops that...

Wow 5 years you're fresh out of highschool I bet you went through some tuff times when she wouldnt let you copy her homework.

You will not commit to her just like you cannot commit to trucking, hence you're begging us to tell you to wait.

The first big snow we ran into was a blizzard in Iowa. My partner had parked in a rest area and I got up for my turn to drive at daylight. Well, the truck was stuck, wouldnt move at all. We looked at each other and said now what. Long story short we watched another trucker get out and brush the snow from out in front of his wheels. We did the same on our hands and knees. I told my partner this is what memories are made of - lol

Whoa. You guys got aggressive fast. I'm not technically married, but we might as well be. And will be when i decide to find my birth certificate. I control all the finances, i am the beneficiary on all of his life insurance policies, my name is on the property title, and if he leaves me, there is always child support. And there is nothing wrong with making life changing decisions jointly. (Or her wearing the pants.) But, that has nothing to do with his question. So, the answer he was looking for was, no. It does not matter when you train. The most a trainer can do is tell you to slow down, and if you do not possess the common sense to figure that out on your own, don't bother.

Don't assume every woman wants to marry. My parents have been married for 40 years now, and if my mom had to do it all over again, she wouldn't. And she won't pressure her daughters into it either.
