Lol. It might have. I don't remember. I don't drive fast in snow, i have no shame in driving 25 mph in trace amounts, one of the many reasons i would never get my cdl. (Poor depth perception is the other big one, inability to see at night is also up there...i basically terrify people that get in a car with me, and yet, they still do. Lol.)
Would The Fall/Winter Be The Best Time To Obtain Your CDL?

- Summer seems like a slow time at trucking schools, and probably the best time,if your serious about the career.once bad weather comes, the homeless, start to apply at school,so they have shelter, for the winter.I saw guys sleeping all day long,in the cafe
- Funny stuff

Luckily I get mines in the fall naturally.
But more than likely I'll be off the trainers truck by winter.Velli Thanks this. -
I started school in Feb, was with a trainer in March and 6 weeks later was on my own. I had a full summer to drive before my first winter.

Oh good lord... Moral crap aside, I went and got my cdl, hired and was trained with 3 months experience before I drove in the ice and snow.
I am GLAD my trainer wasn't there. It would've been extra noise and a distraction I didn't need. Turn your radio down, cb up, keep your foot off the brakes, be gentle on the gas and watch everybody around you.
Snow, ice and inclimate weather aren't something we just come across. It's an expected part of the job. I do not fear the weather, but I respect it. ...what I do fear are the other motorists around me.
You're far better off learning how stupid four-wheelers can get around semi's before you ever tackle winter driving. And you're missing the best season for that by posting about waiting. Then again it isn't just 4-wheelers that get stupid.
I get what Anthony is saying. It's really fun when you've got some idiot pulling doubles that can barely keep his lane, is going half the speed limit and won't even flip his 4-ways on to warn others. Now you add in that this fool is wearing headphones, was texting and #### near caused an accident that I almost became a part of... No. Learn how stupid people drive first. Then worry about the weather.
I don't have the experience that some of these guys do, not even close. But if there's one thing I had to learn out here it's that my inaction has just the same potential to hurt or kill someone as my actions. Right now, your inaction is killing you.
