Had a idea and was wondering if it could work in my favor. See if I get my cdl in north Carolina and add the following endorsement : passager / school bus plus air brakes ( going to need this endorsement later) ..get a job driving a school bus in my local area till I get the experience I need then after oh I say about a yr or so try for my combo and start applying for any trucking companies that really can fit my needs.
Can this work for me? Any advice for me will be very appericate and helpful. I'm very tired of spinning my wheels and feeling like I'm going nowhere. I want my life back. I want to feel like I'm being a productive American again. Please please help me!!!!

As long as you keep your driving record clean it should work but expect to have to go through a company training period as you won't have any experience driving a tractor trailer. Why not get your combination vehicle license when you get the rest and forgo driving a school bus altogether? Driving these things requires enough of your attention as it is, I know I wouldn't want to have to deal with someone else's screaming brats behind me
