It took me a long time to get to the point of changing careers to trucking. Been making that 910 semi monthly for a while and now I want a chance for more. Not saying I am going to get rich trucking but I have been wanting to do it I just let the steady pay check hold me back.

It depends where you live, how expensive are your taste, what your bills are and how good you are with money. You might not survive up north. But where I live, you can live pretty good off that. Most of the factory workers here make about $800 biweekly and live just fine. Alot of people from up north move here for retirement.
Trucking you have to figure in road expenses. That takes a big chunk of your payday. -
$910 every two weeks, before or after taxes? if your married, no kids, both working and drawing about that much every two weeks after taxes, it would be livable, but barely. My wife makes $920 every two weeks, thankfully I make $750 to $1,000 paid weekly.

You'd get more than that if you were on unemployment! That would definitely be tough to survive on. Unless you live in a paid off trailer and own a bicycle.
THBatMan8 Thanks this. -
Yeah I could not do that. I make that in a week and live fine but every 2 weeks??? Thats rough unless its like the military where you get a house and everything like that.

Hey Chompi, working for Tony?

You'd have to pay me a whole lot more than that if you want me to stay in one spot. Fact is, I like trucking, and I don't care how much money I make compared to other jobs- I am out here in a truck because that's where I want to be. Now if someone offered me a million dollars a week to stay at home- and gave me the home to stay in, too- then I might consider it. For a month or two. Then I'd have enough to retire and would promptly head back out on the road where I belong.

I'd laugh at you if you offered me $910 bi weekly to quit my current job.
No amount of money will take me out of trucking. I love to drive. Even if I won the lottery, I'd still be driving (although I'd be driving my own truck). -
