Sorry to tell ya, but I agree with the cop. It might only be a solid line. But it is treated the same as if it was a Jersey barrier. BUT do not pay the ticket. Fight it, fight all tickets. The lawyer will cost more than the ticket would. But after you add the points to your csa, and points on your driving record, possibly resulting in insurance increase. The lawyer is actually cheaper. Don' no if this is allowed but I used (cdl consultants) to fight and win a ticket in Macon. The cop actually did you a favor. You can fight a ticket, you cannot fight a warning. Even though both cone with same amount of points.
Would you call this a left lane violation

When I’m on a four lane interstate and I see a sign that says “no trucks left lane”, to me that means trucks are okay in the first three. Are you now telling us again that signs don’t actually mean what they say? -
I smell a money grab. -
I appreciate all the help and different opinions and ideas makes the internet a great place. Am at odds about even trying too fight it as atl area courts have a bad reputation about working with truckers. To the courts and the cops its cut and dry too the driver it is not so cut and dry as a speeding or other more common tickets even the more obvious lane violation tickets.

By the way, I've been doing the business risk thing for longer than most been around, so traffic laws is one thing that I made sure my lawyer can deal with and answer questions. If it sound like I am a leading authority, well you too can pay the money and get the info. I pay because I don't trust the truck stop lunch counter lawyer who tells other drivers what the laws are. -
It sucks that you got a ticket
But

Dot in Middletown,NY
Shut me down a couple weeks ago
One of the reasons
I did not have the pivot lock pinned in on a piece of equipment I was hauling
I didn't know that it was required by law to do this
Hell, I didn't even know it had a lock for the pivot point
As much as I dislike getting shut down
I did learn something
