In a second! I started doing it when I was pretty young and it gave me a chance to see alot of the country and always had free entertainment at the truck stops. I learned alot about life as well.

Not to mention the money. While most my age were still flipping burgers at Ronnie's Steakhouse, I was making a livable wage.

Although I'm no longer a driver, I would still do it again.

Now, I'm married to a 24 year veteran driver, and travel with him....and I still do THAT again, as well!!

I went to a tech high school for aircraft maintenance to get my A&P license, and originally wanted to be a pilot. I even served 5 years in the USAF Auxiliary more commonly known as Civil Air Patrol retired as a C/2dLT. But ended up getting my CDL and will be OTR in September. and hopefully 50 years from now I can come back to this thread and vote yes! lol

Absolutely! :yes2557: Only thing I would of done different was stayed out longer and banked most of my income while I was single with no kids so I could have bought my own truck years ago.

If I could start over I would get a union card and be a freight hauler. If I had done that 37 years ago I would be retired drawing a pension now.

Yes.. Quit college with over half of a chemistry degree in the bag.. Didn't follow the path I thought it should but I now have a kick a ss job at a kick a ss place to drive a truck.

That said, if something happened to my current job I would run from this industry faster than Usain Bolt..
