No way! Needs to be replaced, that bottom gash looks deep. Im surprised it still has air in it now.

Unfortunately I have driven on much worse than that in my time. I'd run it for a short time until I could find a complete set for the axle but that's my "unsafety" opinion.

I agree, that bottom gash looks pretty severe, though I too have driven with worse than that (in cool weather under a light load just to better my odds). But I’d get that one changed as soon as practicable.

Change or have someone change that tire. It's a Hazzard and not safe and should be noted on your inspection sheet and pre trip checklist. Anyone, who tells you to drive on that does not care about safety or FMCSA compliance.

The rubber in those sidewalls is a lot thicker than you think. At the previous company I drove for, I picked up a trailer that had a gash in the sidewall deep enough to see the cords, almost an inch or more deep... still holding air. I took it to the shop where they replaced the tire then sent the damaged one over to the retreader where they actually filled and remolded the sidewall.

I'd drive it very slowly to the nearest repair shop. If there wasn't a repair shop in close range I'd call road service. If the creeper cops see that they'll place you OOS.

Drive tire, yes but not very heavy and not too long, a blowout is gonna cost more time, money and anxiety than just replacing it
