Loves says it's a danger and is unrepairable . The company says it's dot compliant because it's not showing steel. The trailer tires is a super single and has a chunk missing out of the shoulder and sidewall. Inside the chunk you can see tread separation. What should I do?

Ask for a different trailer. Failing that, put it OOS until the tire is replaced.

Of course, there's always the "drive it till it blows" method at which point you'd need road service.....

There's also the "let the air out and shove a nail through it under that flap and then let the company know it won't hold air" method.

Of course I would just tell them that that tire is unsafe and I would not have to worry about them arguing with me.

    Ruthless Thanks this.
