30k of frozen food. No one wants to fix it and I can't afford to lose a 2100mi run over it so I guess I'm gonna drag this thing clear into California

Not the decision I would have made. Here's hoping that gator doesn't bite someone on the Hwy!

Did they tell you verbally, or in text? If they communicated that in text, I would make a stop and point it out to DOT. If not in text, I would get it!

    JReding and SavageSam Thank this.

Hello, DOT? Will you take a look at this for me , please? My company told me that this tire is safe to drive on and I want confirmation. I sure would hate for someone to get injured, or killed, over a silly tire...

Surrender your CDL and get off the road. You are a danger to everyone around you. When I was in training i worked for a mickey mouse company like yours who always tried to make me do illegal #### too. Do you know what i did? I yelled -thats right, yelled - at my dispatcher and told HIM how things were going to go down. I even have threads i created on here documenting that thats what i did.

You arent fit to be a Professional Driver. Your inferior psychological traits are going to get people killed. And youre coming to California of all places where I LIVE?!

Get the #### off the road.

It is your decision. You are choosing to drive an unsafe vehicle. No one else can make that decision for you.

Cost to fix at the tyre shop vs cost to fix at the side of road or at Scale + citation amount. Take your pick. Driver you are putting your own financial gain ahead of safety. And you know something else, a tyre in bad condition while it technically could be argued it's legal or not, is an invitation into the inspection barn where they will find whatever else has been neglected and needs repair.
