And there are some people on this forum that have said that that is too much $$$ and we should just take it and be happy or find another job.
This proves my point perfectly! Someone will probably take that job and so the next job offer will be for $7.50/hour and then minimum wage!

IF We accept this garbage and pretty soon, THAT IS ALL WE WILL EVER GET!!!

Even at just 500 miles a day and .30cpm you're still losing money.

    .30cpm x 500m/day x 7 days = 1050

    $8hr x 40 = 320
    12 x 30 = 360

total wage counting overtime is 680 a week.

    WOW!!!!!

Did you read the job description, you will be traveling outside of Texas, it's OTR being more than 5 states. It's more than CA that has a min wage of $8 or more per hour here is a complete list copy and paste of state with min wage of $8 or greater:

Washington $8.55 per hour, $9 in Seattle
    Vermont $8.06 per hour
Oregon $8.40 per hour, tied to inflation could be $9+ in 2011
Ohio $7.30 per hour, but in Clombus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland above $8
    New york $8.15, NYC $8.75, min exempt/salary worker $585
    Nevada $8.25 per hour
New Mexico, In Santa Fe and Santa Fe only is $9.85 per hour
    Mass $8.10 per hour
    Illinois $8.25 per hr, Chi-town $9
    D.C $8.25 per hour
    Conn $8.20 per hour

The Fed min wage is $7.25 per hour but only 28 states have the min set at $7.25. The other 20 have it 0.05-2.50 over the federal min.Two more cities in States like NM and KS have set their own local min wage above fed standards. About 2/3rd of Americans have min wage limits in their stats set higher than the federal min.

It don't matter, I didn't go to school for the bottom feeders to pay $8.00/hour. They only have the max posted at $13/hr, just in case they couldn't find a sucker at the $8.00 level.
