Write off on taxes?

    Greetings. When a person is going through a school to learn to drive semi's can what they are paying for the classes AND equipment be wrote off on taxes? Many years ago I had a different job for a few years and all the weapons, ammo, vests, boots, etc were wrote off on my taxes. I bought top quality equipment back then. Just a thought.

    I went to school in Appleton last year. I did the handrblock on-line 1040A and it deducted my tuition. I seem to remember something about it being a one time only deduction. Mind you this was while claiming the standard deduction, not itemizing.
