Being over weight doesn't effect you score, but that log falsification is what gets you points. Violations, Citations, and Warnings you get points.
Written “warning” worse than citation?

Sometimes people think that CSA, PSP, CDLIS, and a person's DMV are the same THEY ARE NOT! A citation for a non-moving violation like being overweight generally won't cause issues. A citation or a warning for falsifying a log is severe if said violation was added to the North American standard inspection. These things have no warning, those violations go right into the carrier's CSA records. You can be 100% assured this violation WILL land in your carrier's CSA records because checking the log book is the 10th item checked according to this handout!
If there is a fault of some kind on the truck log program then this needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP! This officer was being nice by not issuing a state citation for this log violation that will come with a fine. I highly recommend the OP get this fixed if there is a problem in the log system. If it is not a problem but something you did wrong then go get some training on how to use that system. -
It’ll be on your psp for 3? Years. Don’t sweat it but don’t make it a habit either.
I got one for over gross my first week out with trainer/ mentor…Fat lazy slob that didn’t want me to scale it.Bud A. Thanks this. -
Thanks for the responses. Maybe I misunderstood her and she was giving me a warning on the log violation and giving me the violation on the inspection for being overweight.
I am only concerned about this because I desperately need a new job and now this might set me back. -
Where exactly is this scalehouse?

Don't confuse a cvsa violation with a citation like almost all LEO's do.
