You didn't say where load was originally coming out of .But me I would have loaded it then drove as close as I felt safe then tried to call the receiver this morning to see how safe it was or if they were even there.Depending where I stopped I might be a late delivery if they were open.

I was panicking and forgot some info.
I deliver fast food after the store is closed, I got the keys. Drop the pallet off the lift gate and roll it into the store. Usually got 28-36,000 pounds of stuff, 3+ stores. It takes atleast an hour to do each store. About 20 pallets to come off the trailer, plus the wind speed, falling off the trailer would likely happen.
If I was bring food and supplies to people in need, I would've gone and just hoped there wasn't any big trees in the road I couldn't have run over.
Most of the food is frozen and uncooked. If they lost power and/or employees didn't show up, it would be an unnecessary risk.
Regardless, I'm safe and I didn't hurt/end someone else's life. 996 deaths happened on georgia road already, so if comes down to it, I'll just find another job. I don't want to add to that -

I went in the following day and nothing happened. Apparently a few people called out, our warehouse is I'm Ga, and they were just freaking out because no one was showing up to work.
I'm sure it's less of the company and mostly the management here
