    Hi folks
I was wondering if grabbing the wrong load will get you fired?
I went to a place I had been before and there was only one of my companies trailers , so I assumed it was my pickup the paper work was in abox i grabbed it checked wieght but neglected to check address and went 200 miles before realizing my mistake. wondering if I will be unemployed soon.

Depends on how many other mistakes you have had, or is this your first one?

Really this is going to depend on your company and your history. If it were me I would get on the phone right away and explain your situation. You may find that they just want you to take the trailer back and get the right one, or they may switch your load. In any case, I wouldn't expect to be paid for the miles.

I knew of a driver, who was supposed to pull a load from Northern Indiana, to Northern Wisconsin. When he got there 8 hours later, he found he had an empty trailer. :biggrin_25524:

    He wan't fired.

No, probably not unless you keep doing it.Rushing will always get you in trouble. The things you always check are trailer number, seal number and address...
