Depends on how many other mistakes you have had, or is this your first one?
-
Really this is going to depend on your company and your history. If it were me I would get on the phone right away and explain your situation. You may find that they just want you to take the trailer back and get the right one, or they may switch your load. In any case, I wouldn't expect to be paid for the miles.

That can be a costly mistake, better tell your company NOW before going any futher.Let us know what your dispatcher says.

I knew of a driver, who was supposed to pull a load from Northern Indiana, to Northern Wisconsin. When he got there 8 hours later, he found he had an empty trailer.
He wan't fired. -
they told me about it some other driver had taken my load. i found out when i stopped for fuel. my other mistake i have had is rubbing a yellow pole sliding on ice backing into a dock
-
No, probably not unless you keep doing it.Rushing will always get you in trouble. The things you always check are trailer number, seal number and address...
allniter Thanks this. -
