We picked up a trailer at oak creek, wi my trainer took the paper work I guess he did not verify trailer # with bill if lading we went to springfield then to Laredo, tx we get here we found out we had the wrong trailer the items we have is marked for port land, or so his DM did some magic and now we are in our way to Portland. What did I learn from this as a trainee is always verify bill lading against trailer number

    Hmmm....

I'm wondering who is going to get hit with that bill?

Maybe the trainer manned up and took responsibility.

No way in hell is the company going to eat it.

Not as bad as the driver I worked with, he hooked up a trailer ran all the way to Columbus OH.... He was suppose to have an empty trailer, he pulled a fully loaded trailer,

To this day I still can't understand how he could not tell the difference between a 35k lb trailer, and an empty, let alone it screamed volumes about his pre trip technique
