Looks like I'll have truck back tonight...They're fixing something, filling with oil, cleaning it up and doing another road test...Day is shot, but better when I had a day to lose than when I didn't!!!!

its good its not anything serious.

fair enough i mean i dont care one way or another unless im the one in there who has to get called, just kind of a being considerate thing. its really meant to be more for emergencies is how i take it. like if i hit a deer im not waking safety up it can wait till the am unless the deer was actually a nun with antlers crossing the street, then its a bit more serious.

Sitting in Heyburn, ID at Love's. Had to go thru a an inspection station on South 15 in Montana. The officer asked what I was hailing. I told him it's a load of beer to Idaho. He said,"Well I guess I better not wait your time then. Get going." We both laughed and I pulled off while he went to the next truck. :biggrin_2559:

My take on calling for service/repair during middle of the night: Our company decides to NOT have a 24hr shop, and gives us numbers for an on call person and we are told to use them whenever we need to...well, I run thru the middle of the night as that's my regional timeframe. If I get a funky trailer or something needs fixed on my truck, I'm calling! And if someone is freezing because the truck is broken, they need to call as well. Just my personal opinion of course...

That is smart. You'd be amazed at how many "Solar Powered Trucks" pack a truck stop by 6pm.

Yep. Difference in this job is that the equipment you use to perform it is also where you LIVE.
