Oh, no...1832 gave up the ghost then? Well, I'm sure she'll run a lot better after the fact. Maybe you can even get some fuel bonus...
Hope you get out sooner rather than later, my friend.

They said there were signs of metal in all of the cylinders??? I'm thinking the valve bounced around for a while, WD The shop told me that the head had just been replaced?? Don't know if it is from another engine or what, It ran well right when I gt it and then it went down hill from there, My fuel mileage went crazy just lately. I will keep everyone in the know. Thanks.:biggrin_25514:

Theres no way for a valve to "bounce around" in an engine....once the heads are bolted down each cylinder are sealed at the top...

Just a thought but maybe you can ask Watkins for a loaner truck while yours is getting fixed. Of course sometimes when you are running hard for weeks on end its nice to breakdown and go to the hotel for a little t.v. time and a beer!

AT if it got below the piston the valve has all kinds of things that it can bounce around on, I'm just repeating what they are telling me, I appreciate the thought Chompi I told them to get me to a terminal and I'll drive local till it is back up. They have no extra trucks right nw. Thanks.

The only way for a valve to get below the piston is if the piston blew a HUGE hole in it, and if that were the case you'd know about it lol

Sounds to me like they dont know what they'e talking about...or your remembering what there saying wrong lol

See! this is the motor that came in my civic...see how theres no space between the pistons and the cylinder wall.

AT, Please do not disregard what I say:biggrin_25512:, The CUMMINS(they are the MANUFACTURER of the engine) labeled shop told me,:yes2557: "It Dropped a Valve and there is metal in all of the cylinders" This to me sounds like they are rebuilding the whole engine, Little man you are a very inteligent individual, I don't think you know exactly what happened inside the engine unless you were in it,
My friend I knew the very second that the valve dropped into the cylinder where did it go after it dropped into the cylinder? Maybe it did knock a whole in the top of the piston and went down into the crankshaft area and then the small pieces of metal were pumped thru the oil pump system to all of the cylinders. Please don't try to tell me I don't know what I am talking about, I have an associates degree in Automotive and Diesel mechanics. And a Double associates in Business Management and Human Resources. Thanks. TD24
