Yep, Burned out on all fronts, Like being in a new field where I can use my knowledge, I will be back in there soon. I sold my business in '05 and am awaiting the proceeds to mature so I can retire and spend time with my family, I am currently living off the proceeds from the initial business earnings.

Yeah, I was gonna say.... How does a valve "get below" a cylinder, except for exactly what you said? Not to mention, to get back above the other pistons after the fact is a pretty tall order, unless chunks of it got back into the intake or exhaust manifold and traveled to another cyl. I think there are a couple of unschooled mechanics there.

Either way, TD, not your problem other than losing pay sitting.

In TD's defense, there aren't a lot of high-paying jobs for Associate Degree holders, at least in Corporate he77. Even Bachelors Degree holders like myself find it hard to find something off the road.

Beyond that, don't knock driving a truck. I have met MANY MANY degree holders, LAWYERS (yeah, I said lawyers), several MBA's, and a lot of former execs like myself behind the wheel of a truck. Nothing at all wrong with it. Sitting in an office is not all it's cracked up to be.
