    Where are those little blob looking guys??
    :Repair costs::sign5::sign5::smt102::sign5::smt102::blob3::blob3::blob3::blob5::blob5::blob5::blob8::blob8::blob8:

    There they are, I talked to one of the surgeons working on my truck this afternoon, he said he has been working on CUMMINS engines for the better part of 15 year(AT that is 75% of your life) he said he has seen the pan dropped and there being 40 POUNDS OF SHATTERED CYLINDER LINERS AND OTHER PARTS in the pans, when something inside these engines comes apart inside the engine there is a catastrophic explosion in these engines, he continued to say that these pieces go everywhere, he said these pieces are sometimes no larger then the nail on his pinkie finger, So it look like it is getting a full blown overhaul done to it, any of the replacement parts that can be replaced is being replaced, I don't want to rush these guys working on this job, they do have 2 shifts working on it, these guys are the very best in what they do so I am just going to sit here and wait it out. Thanks. TD24

    Thanks, I have more plans then to be driving a truck in 4, 5, or 10 years, I'm a leader not a follower, I'm the brains behind the business I sold a few years back, I built it from the ground up, I was it then I brought on another person and doubled what we were doing, then I brought my wife into the business then we had 3 people doing what I was doing, I built it DEBT FREE, I have no bills, I have the money locked up in a quickly maturing financial investment and when it matures then I will be able t do what I do, but till then I will be here at W/S as a driver. Thanks. TD24

    I worked in an office for the last 20yrs, the last 5 at my home until the economy tanked my business...I loved it but didn't know trucking, this is a drug and I LIKE IT!!!!...I literally can't wait for my ten hours to go by everyday so I can get moving again...Hometime was also a little unsettling as I went thru DTs! :biggrin_25526:

    This could be either a blessing or a really unhealthy addiction. Truck driving friends used to tell me: "Watch out! Once that diesel gets in your veins, it's hard to get it out!"

    Of COURSE I discounted that as just trucker blab. Just like a coke fiend, I cant get it out of my mind. It becomes an obsession! Just wait til you get "fed up" with trucking and say "the hell with this, I'm going to make more money and be at home with my wife/family!!!". Inside of three months, you will be driving yourself crazy, taking the long way to get coffee (at the truck stop of course), staring at trucks driving down the highway......

    Nice job, thought you were going to call me when you came thru? I waited till 2300!
    And then crawled in.. hope it works out for you, I will run you for your money when I get thqt newly rebuilt engine baddk in my ruck and get it broke in correctly:biggrin_25525:, they are saying the last guys to do a overhaul were not very clean with it:biggrin_25513: and that may be the reason for the early retirement LOL TD24

    That is a good thing to do with those shirts, when I was home in Dec. I went thru my closet and cleaned out all that type of stuff:biggrin_25513:, it is totally casual now, I hope it stays that way or someone is going to pay me well to buy to new wardrobe and dress like that again, I always hated getting dressed up to go see a client/perspective client butbi guess it paid well, and still is.:biggrin_25523:

    i dont mind that, i leave anyway and just cruise for a couple days. i did 2 11 hour days and i have to do another tomorrow, do not like. stupid brokers never leave any wiggle room like dipatch does. im stuck not only pulling 11s but waking up earlier and earlier every day, ending with 2am my time monday just to hopefully be able to finish off the miles and barely get there on time.

    i barely ever drive over 10, probably why i never take resets. slow and steady wins the race haha.
