well if it sounds fine then its most likely a sensor or computer issure, trust me youd KNOW if you had low oil pressure....Next time I see you in conover I'll show you, my pickup needs an oil pump Diesels NEED oil thats why they run on much HIGHER oil pressure then a gas motor, so when its low you'll deffinatly know about it.

Last shop hooked up their computer and the pressure reading matched what the gauge showed...

hmmmm, sounds like fun. For the low low price of $30/hr I'll figure it lol.

The company has put over $7000 in repairs to this truck in 3mths(over half on oil related issues), you'd think they'd want to take a good look at it and get it right....And meanwhile put me in something else, even if just while they fix this one, I think it's beyond repeated band-aids at this point...

Modesto terminal. Had a nice little drive over Donner Pass to get here. Was nice actually, roads were mostly dry, nice sunny day. Load assignment says this delivers on Monday, time to be determined. Got a call from Helena saying it might just drop here then have me in Madera at 6am on Monday for a load going to Helena. Not sure what they're going to do with me, but either way I'm getting a 34 here.

Already put the call in......
SL3406, in the garage section, posted a link http://letstruck.com/forum/topics/oil-filter which seemed to explain the problem I'm having...It seems to be an inherent issue the Cummins can have, it's not unusual for the soot it produces to clog the oil filter every 5-10,000 miles...I'll have them change that first thing and see if it comes to life again, as it did last time...This forum is truly the greatest resource for drivers, especially us newbs!...I still want a new truck, but till then, if this will fix it for for the time being, I'll be a happy driver!Last edited: Feb 27, 2011

At least you have facilites; shower, bathroom, washer & dryer and a truck wash if needed
, and a security gaurd for some companionship. Dont forget about those Jersey Piegon wings, nice and meaty. If you need something today or in the morn on Monday let me know. I will probabally be at the truck tonight to be ready first thing in the morning. I need to get and empty.
