Wow, you guys really need to think about an alternative, this sitting is for the birds, unless you like the pay there or something, I highly recommend where I am I don't sit, I have yet to touch a piece of freight and I am averaging 2500 miles a week, I can not complain, here they take care or the drivers, they understand that the drivers make the company function. I know I have been in here a few times saying this but I see a patern with some of you that I saw coming, they are a 6-8 month company and then they start the starving you out process, they puled that on me and I skated. I'm just saying, I want to see all of you. Make good money, and for me it wasn't there. TD24

pianist is a hilarious word. ahh to be young and very much immature.

i still get 2500, because of sitting. when i do move im very productive haha. i got good news in my meeting a few weeks back as far as getting shortline or local sooner rather than later so im staying put awhile.

I average the same amount of miles every week. As for touching the freight, I really don't mind at all since this gets me out of the truck and actively doing something. It's not like every single load that we haul is a "driver unload" assignment. Plus, I'm not scared of a little work. Sure it can be a pain sometimes, especially on days when I feel tired and unmotivated, but since I'm out here to work then I would rather just get the job done so that I could rest later. I had to deal with alot of bull at my first two trucking companies, and I have yet to see someone here on the operations side treat the drivers unfairly, and I have yet to hear about the drivers that work here complain about the company. It's probably not going to happen. Freight might be slow right now for some areas along some of the freight lanes which may explain why some drivers are sitting and waiting right now. Waiting is common in trucking. Many disciplined drivers understand this already.

TD, I like you, but you really need to stop advertising Conway in the W/S section. There are drivers who have been with W/S for years (8+) and Joe has been with them almost 3 himself, so don't say it's only for 6-8 months. It didn't work for you and you found something else and that's great, but you loved this place until you left.

In Seattle, WA, for a.m. delivery (back on topic).

i talked to 2 drivers in the past 2 weeks that have been here 15 and 20 years.

im heading down towards mexico, i called to set up a del time and for whatever reason this guy was suprised im showing up today...they werent there on the weekend. now ill probably be sitting around till the afternoon while they get people from mexico to come unload it, so i was told hahaha...wow. so might not be a great day, but no w/s fault. well maybe dispatch for not letting me repower it haha. im just grumpy because i woke up at 530, been sleeping in a lot. love these long days!
