Wish I would have known you were in Ogden, I would have liked to meet you and java joe...my husband has been a driver for W/S for 27 years and it's always nice to meet drivers from the forum...Did you happen to see the turned over semi with the load of beer??? According to our news here they said he took the off ramp too fast and tipped over the trailer and tractor..almost had a party down there...LOL -
Didn't see the overturned semi... or get any free beer. -
Holed up at the Boise Stage Stop just outside of Boise, ID... this is a nice little truck stop and I'm glad we stopped here "by accident". (Joe likes to do the bigger truck stops). Plenty of parking, great staff... and they even have TREADMILLS inside. Heading on to Washington tomorrow.

At SLC Terminal in UT...
Today started off differently...Was awakened by a rap on my door at 4:30am, I look outside and there's 3 guys standing there, first thing I could thing of saying was "####, they have some ugly lot lizards here, sorry not interested"...One of them said, "You're batteries are burning up!"...That woke me up...I shut down engine, jumped out, pulled off battery cover and sure nuff, oneo f the batteries was swollen, leaking and smokin'!...
I figured I'd go back to sleep until it was a better time to call the shop but couldn't sleep so I got up and chatted with those guys for 2hrs...They worked for Fed Ex and were waiting on a service vehicle themselves...
I called the shop at 6am and we decided I would drive it 80 miles to the T/A in Cheyenne...I get there but they had no power due to a local power failure...Instead of waiting we decided I would go 60 more miles to Laramie and the Petro there...Enroute, I pulled up all the TSs along the route and started calling them to see who could help so I didn't have to run 60 more miles...Found Art's Truck Repair in Cheyenne by the Love's and he said come on down...I get there, wait about 30 minutes to get in bay then 20 minutes later I was back on the road with a new battery!...540 miles later, here I sit at the terminal...I have to say, this has to be the most scenic terminal I've been to, the surroundings are just beautiful!...
Oh, at the Sapp Bros in Sidney, NE they have a flock of ducks that hang out there, some of you know I love and raise ducks so I felt at home sitting there for hours playing with and feeding them...I probably looked silly sitting there with them but they made me feel like I was home and had no fear of me, it was very kewl feeding them out of my hand!... -
