yeah, with no restaurant, forces you to eat the healthier stuff on the truck, or walk to the subway a few blocks down....I also noticed a place right across the street, but didn't feel like going over there. Looked interesting. I did get a good nights sleep though!

8/23/10 -- Grand Junction, CO at "Acorn Truck Stop". I think the best part about this place is it has an A&W restaurant....so good root beer for me tonite! Did 4 stops today, and 3 of the 4 had very tight maneuvering space. I delivered 6 rolls of carpet to a mobile home park and had to get in there to the clubhouse to get it unloaded. One of the oddest places I've delivered to yet.

Last night in a rest stop by Mt. Shasta, beautiful there. Tonight in a rest stop 25 mi n of Bend Or. n o truck stop in the area and the city has ordinance against overnight prkng in shopping centers
tomorrow, 8am drop in Bend Or. then a drop at Vancover terminal and off to Lakewood terminal for final drop.

DOT level 1 inspection today in Kalamath Falls Or. That was fun (not!)

8/22-8/24--- I am in PHX deliver tonight and start my daily run to Cali tomorrow I hope.

 

Conley, Ga waiting to get off loaded. Then on to Atlanta for my final.

 

Well folks, it's official. I'll be joining you out there shortly. I got the word today that I've made it through on day 8 of orientation.

Still have to work out the details but I'm to check out of the hotel in the morning and head to the terminal here in Conover. From there they'll figure out where a truck is and how to get me there.

So, I'll be able to add my 20 here now. COOL!!
