I'm in Walcott, IA at the big truck stop, drove 700 miles today!!!!...Heading to Helena so I'll be running till Tuesday....Actually, I'll probably be there Monday night so I can hopefully get a load on Tuesday...Had to leave the Kenworth at Dalton, AC wasn't working properly...I did figure out how to drive the 18 speed though, that was fun!

the whole point of them sending you to MT was to take that KW to the customer....and you couldnt drive it for 3 days without ac when you'd be staying in a hotel?.....:biggrin_2554:

I donno but it sounds to me like ya just passed on doing them a big favor:biggrin_25511: that could have paid off when you ask for a new(er) truck.

Well, you heard wrong...It was Richard's idea not to take it, the shop called him and he wanted it fixed first and called me, I didn't call him, I was still willing and excited to take it because of the hotels...It came on and off, I could have lived with it just for the fun of driving it...

    American-Trucker Thanks this.

thats stupid they had a driver there to take it, seems like it would make more sense to have the truck in MT at a shop when they come back to work after there long weekend off....instead now they have to wait till after the weekend for dalton to fix it then find another driver, then drive all the way to MT:biggrin_25523:

Believe me, I will be trying to get back to Dalton so I can be the one to drive it, playing around with it was such a tease!...Plus, I love 2000+ mile runs!!!!...I told the shop when they couldn't fix it, "oh well, it is what it is, I'll still take it" then I got the call...I was very excited to drive it...Between your help and watching a youtube video on how to shift it, I had it down!..AND, the shop said they weren't sure but they think it wasn't governed! :yes2557: I didn't take it on highway(had I known that I would have), just drove to the pilot and back a few times...
