Delivered sugar load in LA and had a load going to Salem before I was empty. Sitting now at a rest stop on I-5 an hour north of the Grapevine. Looks like I'll be short lining for awhile from the Vancouver terminal again starting Tuesday.

If you have a trucking GPS it is not bad. I was quite apprehensive at first but have found it not all that tough.

Along with the GPS, if you have a computer, use the satellite view on google maps to get an overview of your destination(if inside L.A.)...This has saved me countless hours and frustration knowing how I need to approach a place and what to expect when I got there...The worst part of big city driving to me0 is the traffic, not getting around...A call ahead of time to destination can also be a time saver as they may be able to give you a shortcut or 'local tip'...

I agree. I have Google Maps on my cell phone and use it while driving to the destination. You can zoom way out and pick up where your location is and see how you are approaching. I then continue to zoom in as I get nearer the destination. Really helps. I also have a car GPS that I use to cross check my truck GPS. Have had to use any one or more of the three I have from time to time to arrive at the proper place.
