Just a heads up. Be careful in the detroit area. Not the safest or best place to be. Not far from you is a steel mill I used to load at in ecourse. They had signs saying all trucks must leave the staging area outside of the gate after dark. No overnight parking. Violators will be arrested. Detroit was listed as one of the most dangerous cities for truckers a few years back on XM radio. They was one of the highest for violent crimes/murders.

I'm not sure about the one he's at but the TA in Jessup, MD you have to go through a gate with a sercurity guard, they give you a ticket when you pull in and then after you pay on your way out they open they gate lol it's $10/day there too. I'll never go back there again...

man whats with all the sitting? thats pretty lame.

im in colorado, sitting waiting for 8am tomorrow. supposed to snow. i am not liking this winter in a truck nonsense at all. especially up in mt when i was driving empty, almost had to change my pants a couple times with all the insane wind and ice. im praying for all heavy loads until spring comes.

Just submit the receipt for parking in your trip envelope and put it on the back as a cost and the company will reimburse you for it. I've done it many times. Or, if you spend a specific amount there they will let you park for free...

Who probably makes 9 bucks an hour. Keep that in mind. He will most likely be MIA if needed.:biggrin_2556: Why I am talking about guards why do they usually have some 100 year old guy pulling security... ehhhhh?[IMG]
