i didnt see you over there earlier. im at pepsi. ive been awake all night and dealing with all the stupid california bs and now this idiot shipper is pissing me off even more, and all for a couple of 275 mile runs. haha but i just keep saying to myself at least theres no snow, at least theres no snow...im going to be stuck here for the night because im about to run out of hours. some days i wonder why places even have appointments.
but im going to make sure i get some good food!! and hope they keep me down here where i can wear shorts -
oh and then i messed up, 2 and a half hours later i get in, open the doors and there is this thing in the trailer. so i had to go back to the terminal and get another trailer that was actually empty.
i was told it was empty by the yard guy, but always look for yourself. luckily this place is only 4 miles from the terminal or it would have been one of those i quit days! considering ive been past my 14 since noon here time. -
Sitting at TS in Wytheville, VA watching the snow fall..Could be an interesting day tomorrow as I have a milk run thru WV, MD and PA...

Roadrunner is a special joy...LOL I got there for a load ready between midnite and 4am. I get there about 345am and the load wasnt ready until 415. Then I get to the dock it's at, a tight turn to get the trailer out of the dock far enough to close the doors. I go to close them and see they have loaded the trailer literally to the tailgate. The kicker is there's all these small boxes and they used clear packing tape to hold them in! I looked and said, "alrighty then" and closed 'er up. I get to my first stop in Alabama and carefully opened the door expecting the stuff to fall all over me. Only 1 box even looked like it wanted to fall out, but it only weighed a couple pounds and I grabbed it. Bumped the dock and the warehouse guys there were cursing Roadrunner LA the whole time...hundreds of little small boxes that they could have palletized but loose loaded....I wanted to laugh but those good ole boys would have strung up my California butt.... But it was gravy after that. All in all, not too bad of a load, and mine wasn't too heavy. But ya never know what's on there I had everything from curtain looking things in boxes all the way to pieces of a refrigerator like you see in 7-11, glass doors and all....

Got it, a bit late, I'm thinking I know why I saw D1 laughing as we passed each other on Monday.. I went the wrong way to get to Lakin tires and then I get there and they say bring it back at another time... nah i'll just take it to the terminal and let the local guys deal with it, I'm up north of Cedar City Ut. I got to argue with dispatch today about my routing taking me acrossed I-70 in Ut to Denver, over the QC.. I'm going the way they told me to go, we will see. Has anyone else been told this or did I just dream it? See ya out here.
